Havantec Food Equipment celebrates its 25th anniversary

Havantec Food Equipment B.V. is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. A wonderful milestone that should not go unnoticed. From a single premises in Oirschot to a nationwide and international network of customers and suppliers: a lot has happened in 25 years. Reason enough to look back and to celebrate this together with the team.

The beginning: 1 July 2001

Havantec Food Equipment was founded on 1 July 2001 by Hans van Tuijl, together with Peter van Zutphen. The company moved into the premises of HO van Zutphen at Industrieweg 20 in Oirschot. It wasn’t long before the first order came in: on 4 July, just a few days after the company was founded, Habek Snacks from Deurne placed the very first order.

In 2003, the first permanent dealerships followed, including those with N&N, Itec and Henkelman, shortly afterwards followed by NOMA (Nowicki). The foundations of the extensive supplier network with which Havantec operates today were laid at this stage.

Growth and charting its own course

In 2006, Patrick Suler joined the company as its first employee, and he is still part of the team today. In 2007, Havantec moved to larger premises at Den Uitvanck 20 in Oirschot, alongside Van Zutphen, and the product range was further expanded.

In 2019, Havantec took a significant step: the company became independent and moved to Den Uitvanck 16. With this move, Havantec also set up its own technical service and logistics department, supplemented by new colleagues. From that point onwards, Havantec was able to manage the entire process – from advice to installation and maintenance – in-house.

Expansion on all fronts

Growth continued. In 2018, PHT-Benelux was established as part of a partnership with PHT Germany. In 2021, this division came fully under the Havantec umbrella and was renamed Havantec Hygiene Solutions B.V. This gave hygiene technology an even more prominent place within the organisation. In 2022, the warehouse and office space were expanded by approximately 750 m², in line with growing demand and stock levels.

A real highlight followed on 13 December 2023: the largest order in Havantec’s history. Two 6,000-litre paddle mixers were delivered to Van Dijk’s Roggebrood, a fine testament to the trust customers place in Havantec, even when it comes to large-scale and specialised projects.

Celebrating 25 years with the team

You don’t celebrate an anniversary like this just in the office. The team swapped work for a fun day out in Den Bosch. The programme was packed: a ride on a Solex moped, a beer tasting, a proper beer-tapping course and a delicious dinner to round off the day. Naturally, a nice cold beer was not missing from the night out.

It was a day full of fun, laughter and good conversation. It’s precisely these kinds of moments that forge a close-knit team, and our clients notice this in the way we work together.

Far from finished

25 years full of milestones, loyal customers and a team we’re proud of. And the best thing is: we’re far from finished. Havantec continues to develop smart, safe and hygienic solutions for the food industry, together with our customers and suppliers!
